The site for this project is a meadow in a Swiss village adjacent to a lake about 20km from Zurich. The task was to design a bathhouse that could provide the necessary amenities to the swimmers.

We designed the bathhouse with the principle of direct access to all functions in mind. There is no predetermined path, instead, the compound is a structured agglomeration of functions.
There is a pavilion for men, one for women each with changing- and bathrooms, as well as a shared kiosk in the middle. The layout is as simple as possible, without compromising privacy.

Basic materials and techniques are used for the construction: The walls are built from brick and a steel lattice construction is used for the roof. A gap between the walls and roof allows light to enter and wind to pass through.
